The atmosphere is nice for a drink or something lighter at the end of the day, both for informal get-togethers and child-friendly trips. Featuring a beautiful garden and breathtaking views, it is a favorite among tourists and locals alike (me included)! It is usually packed during the summer, but it’s still worth it. There you can enjoy the sight of the Brooklyn Bridge from an open-air point of view. One of them is R17, which opens all year long and is a great destination for a child-friendly summer trip. Furthermore, after Hurricane Sandy the renovations breathed new life into the place and brought restaurants (some yet to set an opening date) from renowned chefs with it. Pier 17 is one of my favorite spots in the city, I always recommend it to visitors and have even put together an entire itinerary about it.
